  • Introduction to the solid phase reactions.
  • Crystallisation-nucleation and crystal growth, diffusion.
  • Crystallisation of melts. Modification changes. Thermal decomposition of solids.
  • Reaction of solids with liquids, gases, reactions of two solid substances.
  • Kinetics of heterogeneous catalytic reactions, enzyme catalysis, heterogeneous non-catalytic reactions, physical processes limiting the kinetics of technological processes-diffusion, adsorption, new phase production.
  • Corrosion, types of corrosion. Corrosion processes, thermodynamics and kinetics of corrosion processes, corrosion cells.
  • Methods for study of the kinetics and reaction mechanisms of solid phase reactions.
