The subject gives advanced view on the use of microtechniques in analytical chemistry. The course includes topics as microscopy and fluorescence microscopy, atomic force microscopy, mechanical nanoscale operations, microsensors, micrototal analytical systems (microTAS), lab-on-a-chip techniques, materials and technologies for preparation of microfluidic devices, hydrodynamic and electrokinetic flow, injection, separation and detection techniques for microfluidics, application of microfluidics as droplet chemistry, PCR, immunochemistry, low cost technologies, paper and foil based chips, digital microfluidics, and nanoparticles in analytical chemistry.
