Guarantors: Radek Zbořil, Libor Kvítek, Robert Prucek
Exercise: 5 hours/week
Credits: 4
Summer semester
Form of course completion: course credit
The practice will include the measurements of the selected samples, data processing and evaluation.
Practice:
- Size and morphological characterization of the nanoparticles via AFM method.
- Study of thermal decomposition of the selected iron salts via TG/DTA.
- Determination of the surface area of nanocrystalline and porous materials.
- Measurements and evaluation of the magnetic characteristics of the selected metal oxides.
- Measurements and evaluation of the Mössbauer spectra of the selected minerals and iron salts.
- Measurements of size distribution of colloidal Ag via DLS method.
- X-ray powder diffraction analysis used for the purpose of study of phase composition of the selected polycrystalline samples.
- IR spectroscopy used for characterization of some surface modified nanoparticles - data processing, evaluation.
- Raman spectroscopy used for characterization of some surface modified nanoparticles - data processing, evaluation.
- Study of nanocrystalline alloys via the MMF method.
