Lectures:

• History of biotechnologies, division, green biotechnology.
• Potential of plant cell and principle of plant tissue culture (technigues preserving and technigues increasing genetic variability of plants) and application in practice.
• Using of plant biotechnologies in agriculture, pharmaceutical industry, keeping the gene pool and phytoremediation.
  GMO of field crops.
• Application biotechnological methods in pea, bean and flax breeding.

Practices:

• Preparation of media, establishment of aseptic culture.
• Micropropagation, androgenesis, embryogenesis.
• Agrobacterium genetic transformation of peas and beans, and the effect of co-cultivation period on transformation efficiency.
