• Introduction to phytochemistry, history, brief overview of the present state, prospects.
• Instrumental chemical analysis. Bioassays.
• Extraction, chromatographic and electromigration methods in phytochemistry.
• Identification methods (mass spectrometry, nuclear magnetic resonance, molecular spectroscopy) in phytochemistry.
• Hyphenated techniques (LC-MS, GC-MS, CZE-MS). The use of isotopes in phytochemistry.
• Examples of qualitative and quantitative analysis of secondary metabolites.
• Introduction to metabolomics.
• Introduction to pharmacognosy.
