P1805 Computer science – Computer Science

Field of study:

The doctoral program in Computer Science provides students with in-depth knowledge in various areas including algorithms, computability and computational complexity, discrete mathematics, mathematical logic, formal languages and automata, databases and data management, data analysis and knowledge discovery, programming paradigms, computer networks, and distributed systems. The students pursue their research in areas such as logic, uncertainty theories, data analysis and knowledge discovery, or functional programming. Upon successful completion of the program, the students are awarded the degree ``Ph.D.’’ (doctor of philosophy) in Computer Science. The graduates are qualified to pursue their careers as highly qualified experts in computer science in research and development, senior IT positions, and other positions which require advanced computer science skills and strong analytical reasoning.

Entrance exams requirements:

Knowledge in computer science at a level comparable to requirements for the master program in Computer Science at Palacký University. Admission interview.
