Field of study:
The study covers broad range of scientific topics in molecular and cell biology and genetics, with particular interest in toxicology, pharmacology, phytopathology and genetics. Students choose the topic and thereafter they are involved in the projects screening for toxicological potential of new drugs, in the interaction of environmental pollutants with signaling pathways regulating intrinsic metabolic pathways, in the biology of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) or in the interaction of pathogenic viruses, fungi or phytoplasmas with plant host. During the study students are required to pass 4 exams according to their scientific focus, to gain some experience in the laboratories abroad and to be the principal authors of at least two scientific papers.
