P1314 Geography – Geoinformatics and Cartography
Field of study guarantor: Prof. RNDr. Vít Voženílek, CSc.
Guarantor of study: Department of Geoinformatics
Field of study:
Doctoral study programme Geography (specialization Geoinformatics and Cartography) is focused on main theoretical disciplines in various fields of Geographic Information Science and Geovisualization (spatial analyses, database systems, geocomputation, modelling, etc.).
The themes of doctoral thesis include questions of applications of geoinformatics technologies (GIS, Earth remote sensing, GNSS, digital cartography), theoretical aspects of cartographic semiotics in analogue and digital cartographic products and aspects of atlas production.
Main aim of doctoral study is to prepare highly qualified researchers for professional and research positions in various fields of geoinformatics and cartography.
