Studying

General information about study at the Faculty of Science

Language
In general, the language of instruction is Czech. There is no tuition in the study programmes taught in Czech language. International students willing to study in the Czech language are required to pass an oral and written entrance exam, in which they compete for the enrollment with native Czech students. Fluency in Czech is therefore essential.

Selected study programmes are also offered in English (see the list)

Fields of Study
Faculty prepares specialists in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, geography, ecology, and teachers for secondary schools. Teacher education study programs are organized as combinations of two disciplines (e.g. mathematics–chemistry, biology-geography).
